We can also advise you as to the type of certification required, and we can assist you to obtain an Apostille stamp from the Department of
Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT.) (Even after a document has been notarised it may still need to be legalised with an Apostille stamp or
authentication stamp affixed to it by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (“DFAT”) before being sent overseas.
An Apostille is a stamp DFAT affixes to the notarised document confirming the validity of the Notary.
Govt fees: DFAT will charge you for the issuing of Apostilles and authentication documents (cost will depend on the number and size of documents). At present, DFAT charges $83 for one Apostille Stamp and $83 for an Authentication Stamp.
Courier fees: You may wish to arrange your own courier to send your documents overseas, this will reduce the costs charged by our office.
