Do you need a Power of Attorney for use overseas? Ie India?

Do you have property in India which you might wish to sell but you aren't able to travel home to do it for yourself, and you wish to appoint an Attorney (a trusted representative) in your home country to do this for you?

Here's what you need to do:

If you have a Notary or Lawyer in your home country who has prepared the Power of Attorney (in English) and you need to execute it in front of a Notary Public, email me a copy of the Power of Attorney.  I will ask you some questions, including the following listed below, and after making an appointment to see me so that I can verify your identity, I will prepare a Notarial Act to certify that the Power of Attorney has been executed according to Australian law.

Some questions I will ask:

What could it cost and how long will it take?

An appointment to prepare a notarial certificate to be attached to a straight forward Power of Attorney which has already been prepared by your overseas lawyer or notary will take around 30 mins.  If there are not too many attachments, it will cost approximately $165.
